1.      Present Future

Meutia and Rani will go to the library after lunch.
Meutia dan Rani akan pergi ke perpustakaan setelah makan siang.

è This sentence is a present future tense, because it explains the event in the future uses “will” and “after lunch”.

2.      Present Tense

My brother plays football at 4 pm every Sunday.
Adik saya bermain sepakbola jam 4 sore setiap hari Minggu.

è This sentence is a simple present tense, because this event takes place repeatedly or habits “every Sunday”.

3.      Past Tense

Last night, Dini and I bought some novels on the book fair.
Semalam, Dini dan saya membeli beberapa novel di pameran buku.

è This sentence is a simple past tense, because the adverb of time uses “last night” and the verb uses verb 2 from buy to “bought”.

4.      Present Perfect

Arya has lived in Bandung since 9 months ago.
Arya telah tinggal di Bandung sejak 9 bulan yang lalu.

è This sentence is present perfect tense, because uses “since” as a marker that this event happened in the past but still continues today/this day. And there is an auxiliary verb uses “has” + Verb 3 from live to “lived”.  

5.      Present Continuous

Meutia is making a birthday cake for her mom right now.
Meutia sedang membuat kue ulang tahun untuk mama nya sekarang.

è This sentence is present continuous tense, because the adverb of time is uses “right now” and present cont always uses tobe “is” and V-ing from make to “making”.

6.      Conjunction

While my brother is washing his car, I am doing my homework.
Selagi abang saya mencuci mobilnya, saya mengerjakan pr.

è This sentence using a conjunction “while” to connect 2 sentences. The tenses using present continuous because there are tobe “is” and “am”, then V-ing “washing” and “doing”.

7.      Conjunction

Atta has studied science for one week, so Atta has got good grades for the exam.
Atta telah belajar IPA selama seminggu, jadi Atta mendapatkan nilai yang bagus untuk ujian.

è This sentence using conjunction “so”. There are 2 tenses using present perfect, because the adverb of time “for one week” which is this event has begun in the past but the effect still continued. Then, there are auxiliary verb uses “has” + Verb 3 from study to “studied” and get to “got”.  

8.      Conjunction

My dad likes eat durians but my mom hates it so much.
Ayah saya suka makan durian tapi ibu saya sangat tidak menyukainya.

è This sentence using conjunction “but” to explain two different facts. The tenses are simple present tense because a form of verb to state facts.

9.      Present Perfect Continuous

They have been watching the television for twenty minutes.
Mereka telah menonton tv selama 20 menit.

è This sentence is Present Perfect Continuous, because uses auxiliary verb “have been” to tell of the event that began in the past and just finished.

10.  Past Continuous

He was throwing garbage yesterday in the morning.
Dia telah membuang sampay kemaren pagi.

è This sentence is Past Continuous, because the adverb of time uses “yesterday” and using Present Participle V-ing “throwing”.
